How long does a home inspection take?
Most inspections take roughly two to four hours, depending on size, age, condition, and complexity. Your confirmed appointment will include a more specific expectation.
Should I attend?
Yes, when possible. Attendance gives you a chance to see important items in context and ask questions. Your inspector will explain the best arrival time.
What does the report include?
You’ll receive a digital report with photos, observations, and organized findings. Conditions requiring attention are separated from informational items and routine maintenance.
When will I receive the report?
Report timing is confirmed when you schedule. Hive Point aims to deliver promptly without sacrificing careful review.
Can a home fail an inspection?
No. An inspection is not a pass/fail test. It documents visible conditions so you and your advisors can decide how to proceed.
Do you inspect new construction or build phases?
Hive Point does not currently offer build-phase inspection services. Contact us about an appropriate completed-home inspection if relevant.
Do you find every problem?
No inspection can reveal every defect. The inspection is visual and limited to conditions that are accessible and observable at the time.
How do I prepare the home?
Utilities should be on, electrical panels and major systems accessible, pets secured, and stored belongings moved away from access points when possible.
